- Collect amperage data to further advance NEA diagnostics
- Assist with troubleshooting and production harness repair
- Assist with Software reflash campaigns, new project launch support and rapid response projects
- Supports Design Engineers with drawing accuracy and manufacturability.
- Complete basic engineering tasks related to product design, analysis, testing, integration and systems engineering.
- Under the supervision of an experienced engineer, perform analysis on existing products; assist in the design and development of future products; perform analysis on both completed and future launches; and conduct quality assurance on system safety, launch and production operations.
- Engage in projects and/or studies that promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Showcase learnings obtained during the internship program by presenting outcomes of key projects to members of the Engineering leadership team and/or members of Blue Bird's Executive Leadership Team
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 12-week period beginning May 27, August 16, 2024
- Junior, Senior or Graduate level student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- Familiarity with CAD software; CATIA preferred
- Office and manufacturing facility environment
- Occasional periods of extended standing or sitting
- Required wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises
- Frequent computer and telephone use
- Frequent communication with people throughout the day
