    Job Description

    American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position at a pediatric hospital in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 18 months of Pedi CVICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit at a children's medical center in Austin, TX
    Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients ranging from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
    Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-status patients, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients in the overflow unit

    Night shift position: 18:45–07:15

    13-week contract
    Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
    Local candidates are accepted; however, a radius rule applies and may affect the travel pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
    COVID vaccination is not required by this facility

    Requirements
    Active TX RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand)
    Minimum 18 months of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required

    Required certifications:
    BLS (AHA) and PALS

    Preferred certifications:
    ACLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale
    Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (international addresses not accepted)
