State Farm Insurance Company is looking for an attorney with at least 7 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, to join the San Diego Claim Litigation Counsel Law Firm of Karen D. Wood & Associates. The ideal candidate will have trial experience, a strong work ethic, customer focus, initiative, communication and technology skills. This position may involve managing third-party litigation, first-party claims, and law and motion, requiring excellent writing and research skills, as well as competitive academic credentials. We offer a supportive work environment, reasonable caseload, dedicated support staff, and no billable hour requirements. You'll enjoy a professional yet relaxed work atmosphere, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package including a 401K.

Potential yearly salary range: $110,550 – $170,000

Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary.

• Law degree (JD) and excellent academic background
• Active California Bar license and in good standing
• 7+ years of civil litigation and jury trial experience, preferably in insurance defense
• Experience in a paperless work setting
• Strong automation and technical skills for handling lawsuits and courtroom presentations
• Proficiency in software such as Word, Outlook, and Westlaw
• Familiarity with local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and relevant laws based on experience level
• Experience in presenting and cross-examining witnesses
• Applicants must be eligible to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship
