    Description

    The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a candidate for the role of Director of Human Resources at the Whiting School of Engineering. This position is vital for overseeing human capital goals for the school and the university. The Director of HR will work closely with divisional leadership to develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies, enhance recruitment and staff retention, and ensure legal compliance. They will also play a key role in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead HR operations for the division, ensuring effective services and activities.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies.
    • Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and more.
    • Drive talent management initiatives and support employee development.
    • Oversee payroll processes, HR data management, and compliance activities.
    • Manage a team of HR professionals and provide leadership and direction.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
    • Minimum of ten years of experience in HR.
    • Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree, leadership experience in HR, and familiarity with university HR practices and technologies.
