Description

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to both the sales and customer service teams. This role ensures seamless customer relations, efficient sales operations, and accurate management of product and pricing information. The ideal candidate will excel at handling requests for quotes, maintaining CRM systems, processing sales data, and supporting product lifecycle activities. The position requires Epicor/similar ERP systems experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to facilitate communication between internal teams and customers.


THE WHAT

What will you be doing?

  • Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction through prompt and professional communication.
  • Support the sales team by managing requests for quotes (RFQs), gathering required information, and coordinating timely responses.
  • Enter and process customer sales orders into the company's order management system with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Track order status and proactively update customers and sales teams on any changes, delays, or special requirements. 
  • Maintain and update pricing lists, support costing activities, and communicate pricing changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the management of product data, including lifecycle tracking, product launches, discontinuations, and updates.
  • Own the CRM database, keeping all customer and sales records current, accurate, and secure.
  • Lead and support electronic data interchange (EDI) processes to enhance order processing and data accuracy.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, sales, or a related field.
  • Experience in customer service and sales support roles, preferably in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales databases, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with RFQ processing, pricing and costing, product lifecycle management, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience with EDI processes and reporting tools is preferred.
