    Overview

    Schedule: Monday - Friday (Days)


    Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Under general supervision of an Ophthalmologist performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians, nurses, and division personnel. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.


    Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years' experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant required; previous Pediatric Ophthalmology experience preferred; Basic knowledge of eye examination techniques. Experience with Ophthalmic photography/imaging strongly preferred.


    Education/Licensure/Certification: Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.


    Pay Scale Information

    $39,728.00-$68,650.00

    Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

    The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

    Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
