    Shop Floor Quality Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - This is a 3rd shift position
    • Daily s upport for production manufacturing processes, provide assistance toward the resolution of quality issues, and support toward shop compliance.

    Monitor / audit / report / trend shop compliance to processes and procedures toward quality, compliance or process improvement.

    Shop floor surveillance to asses compliance to internal procedures and customer requirements.
    Leadership of process improvement activities.
    Develop, maintain, and own of quality system procedures, and work instructions.

    Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.

    Minimum Associates Degree, Bacelors degree preferred in engineering or technical field is. 3+ years quality assurance, engineering or manufacturing experience.
    Experience with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly preferred but not required.

    Experience or knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiography preferred but not required.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain and DOE security clearance.
