    $80,000-105,000KPosition SummaryThe Commodity Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting operations of the AgriFoods division which includes Commodity Trading and Farming.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Prepares and Performs the operations of the Accounting Department, which include preparing and reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries and payroll.

    Receive trade slips and forward contracts and maintain a forecasted income statement, balance sheet and cashflow per entity and business unit including Market to market analysisManage the month end Accounting close and internal/external reporting requirements for all Agri-Foods divisions.

    Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

    Prepares periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Work with the trading department, farms and management to help communicate variances between the general ledger gross profit and the daily P&L reports generated by the trade department.

    Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
    Preparation of weekly cash flow.
    Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
    Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
    Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
    Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
    At least 5 years of experience in accounting related to commodity trading.
    Significant experience working in a commodity trading organization in financial control and accounting.
    Exposure to the Daily P&L process in a commodity trading environment.
    Prior experience working with large raw data sets and manipulating in Excel.
    Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders including traders, marketers, risk & IT professionals.
    Experience working with or in other departments, such as Risk, Middle Office, Operations, Settlements.
    Experience with Oracle NetSuite is desirable.
    Excellent management and supervisory skills.
    Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredProven experience as a Division Controller or similar roleStrong knowledge of financial management principles and practicesProficiency in technical accounting standards, including IFRSExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisExcellent analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesPay Range:
    $80,000-105,000KThe specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
