    We Are Brookfield Properties:

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in Washington, DC as an Accounting Intern for Summer 2024. Our intern program lasts 10 weeks and includes many exciting training and development opportunities.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Support U.S. Office FP&A team in preparing monthly and quarterly deliverables, forecasting, capital planning, and actuals analysis
    • Assist with the Annual Budget process including modeling revenues, reviewing expenses, reconciling Cash Flows, and preparing deliverables.
    • Interact with various teams throughout the region including Property Management, Lease Administration, Asset Management and Construction.
    • Accurately track and report on hours worked on assignments.
    • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as required.

    Your Qualifications:

    • Rising junior or senior working towards a Bachelor's Degree in related major (Accounting preferred), with a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
    • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
    • Candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to succeed in a team environment
    • Must be available to work onsite throughout the duration of the internship and able to work well in a team environment.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
