    Description

    Role - Test Engineer

    Location -Onsite in Sunnyvale California

    Contract - 12 Months with a high possibility of extension and conversion

    Pay Rate $ hourly Depending on experience

    ****Must be able to apply without Sponsorship****

    Apex Systems is partnering to find a Test Engineer in Sunnyvale California

    The main function of a test engineer is to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes and develop quality standards.

    MUST HAVE

    • Strong data analysis capability in Python or Matlab
    • Test automation capability in Python or Matlab
    • Degree in optics, electrical engineering, applied physics, or similar
    • 5 years of professional experience characterizing, testing, or designing semiconductor devices, imagers, depth cameras, or similar
    • 2 years experience with bring-up and debugging of electronic devices
    • 2 years experience with statistical data analysis
    • Precise verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability

    NICE TO HAVE

    • The image-processing background is a plus
    • Signal processing for depth measurement systems is a plus

    Job Responsibilities:


    • Hands-on experience in 2D or 3D camera module tests, calibration, and characterization


    • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.


    • Design test plan and perform end-to-end test setup, data collection, and analysis for setting up test specs and validation


    • Improve test coverage by developing lab and factory tests, including metrology and algorithm development


    • Module-level failure analysis


    • Review and approve sampling procedures and designs, forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.


    • Experience in E2E production/factory test is a plus (proto-build to mass production)
