    About the role

    The Quality Engineer is integral to instilling a quality-centric ethos throughout the entire spectrum of site operations, from initial design to final product delivery, with a steadfast focus on amplifying customer satisfaction and product excellence. This role involves a proactive approach in embedding quality principles into every facet of the site's processes and systems, ensuring that quality is not just assessed but engineered at every stage.

    The Quality Engineer will utilize advanced quality tools and methodologies to continuously monitor, evaluate, and enhance the operational processes and outputs, ensuring that every product aligns with our stringent quality benchmarks.

    A pivotal aspect of this position involves upholding and advancing our adherence to ISO 9001 standards, ensuring that our Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) not only meets but exceeds the relevant industry standards while addressing both internal objectives and customer expectations. Furthermore, the Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in the strategic integration of the IATF 16949 standard within our operations, enhancing our quality management framework and reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities;

    • Advanced AIAG Core Tools Application: Spearhead the advanced application and integration of AIAG Core Tools, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, MSA (Measurement System Analysis), and SPC (Statistical Process Control), to ensure comprehensive quality planning and control throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the QMS, ensuring it not only meets but exceeds customer and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of quality and compliance.
    • Strategic Quality Performance Analysis: Conduct strategic monitoring and analysis of quality performance metrics, utilizing data to drive improvements, optimize processes, and enhance product quality.
    • Comprehensive Document Management Oversight: Oversee the document management system, ensuring efficient organization, accessibility, and compliance of all quality-related documentation, enhancing process consistency and knowledge dissemination.
    • Proactive Issue Management System Administration: Administer the issue management system with a proactive approach, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of quality issues, thereby minimizing impact on production and product quality.
    • Dynamic Change Control Management: Manage a dynamic change control process, ensuring all changes are evaluated, authorized, and implemented systematically, maintaining process integrity and quality consistency.
    • Internal Audit Expertise: Conduct comprehensive internal audits with a keen eye for detail, identifying compliance gaps and improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous quality enhancement.
    • Active Participation in External Audits: Actively participate in certification and customer audits, showcasing the organization's quality commitment and facilitating external feedback integration into quality improvement strategies.
    • 8D Problem-Solving Leadership: Lead and support 8D problem-solving processes, both internally and externally, driving effective root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions, enhancing product and process quality.
    • Quality Integration in New Product Introduction: Provide expert quality support during new product introduction phases, integrating quality considerations from design to production, ensuring a smooth transition and high-quality outputs.
    • Comprehensive Data Analysis Support: Offer in-depth data analysis (Using JMP software) support across various domains including internal processes, customer feedback, and supplier performance, leveraging data to inform quality decisions and strategies.
    • eQMS Administrative Excellence: Administer the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS), ensuring it is not only compliant but also optimized for efficiency and effectiveness in supporting quality operations.
    • Quality Tools Coaching: Coach and mentor employees in the effective and strategic use of quality tools, enhancing their skills and the organization's overall quality capability.


    Requirements

    About you

    • Semiconductor industry experience
    • Expertise in Quality Improvement, Control, and Assurance
    • Proficient in Quality Management Standards: Well-versed in ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards, with a solid understanding of VDA 6.3, showcasing a comprehensive grasp of global quality management protocols and practices.
    • Strong proficiency in advanced quality tools and methodologies, including AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC), ensuring a data-driven and systematic approach to quality management.
    • Skilled in identifying root causes of issues using systematic approaches and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
    • Experience in applying 8D problem-solving methodology, adept at leading cross-functional teams to address and resolve complex quality issues.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and challenges, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific quality requirements and best practices.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating quality concepts and collaborating with diverse teams across the organization.
    • Possessing strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a hands-on approach to tackling problems and identifying practical solutions.
    • Experience in leading and managing projects, with additional skills in project management being a significant advantage, illustrating the ability to oversee quality initiatives from conception to completion.
    • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of taking initiative in challenging environments, constantly seeking to improve and drive quality outcomes.
