    Description
    GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Nurse Practitioner to work full-time in anticipation for a future position at McConnel AFB (Wichita, KS)

    Job Qualifications:

    Degree/Education: Master's degree in nursing. Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

    Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation. Will have 24 months experience within the last 36 months in direct patient care clinical setting.

    Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a nurse practitioner.

    Certifications: Basic Life Support. Certified in the specialty as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).

    Job Duties:
    • Perform deployment related health assessment (DRHA) and annual mental health assessment (MHA) services that comply with Department of Defense and Air Force DRHA policy and guidance, to include required standards of care and clinical practice guidelines.
    • Attend any installation or higher level DRHA associated meetings or training opportunities; (b) Monitor, communicate, update, and create reports for any DRHA assessment metrics; (c) Contact patients and schedule DRHA appointments as well as explain requisite paperwork to the patient.
