Verdesian Life Sciences is seeking an individual to fill the Senior Demand Planner role in our Cary, NC corporate office.

This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities at the divisional level for all customers and products within that division.

The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.

The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. Basic forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position.

This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operation and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

Lead respective regional monthly SIOP Demand Review meetings with Sales & Marketing, reviewing sales forecasts, new programs as well as risk & opportunities.

Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Initiates appropriate communication with Production and Operations Team regarding forecast changes.
Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
Maintain monthly Demand Metrics & Sales Dashboard. Gather, manipulate, and interpret data to create meaningful and accurate reports.
Use and maintain all forecast within Oracle forecasting system as well as support & train other users.


Required Skills and Experience:
