- Assist with determining proper revenue recognition for various revenue streams.
- Perform technical accounting research and preparation of corresponding accounting memos, including the adoption of new accounting pronouncements.
- Review and/or establish financial policies and procedures, including process maps.
- Assist with month-end close to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Perform detailed account analysis.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages to lenders and investors.
- Prepare/review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proactively find solutions and create best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP.
- Work closely with shared service center in Malaysia.
- Prepare annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
- Work closely with external auditors.
- Ad hoc projects as necessary.
- Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
- Understanding of consolidations and eliminations.
- Experience in performing technical accounting research and preparation of accounting memos.
- Possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate general accounting information to internal and external customers, including non-financial executives.
- Be able to build relationships across the company.
- Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP system.
- Three years of experience, preferably in public accounting or with a publicly traded company.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA preferred).
- Organized, highly motivated and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to identify business challenges and opportunities and develop and suggest solutions independently.
- High level of professionalism and positive demeanor.
- Working extended hours as needed.
