    Job Title:Janitor


    Location:Bureau of Engraving and Printing Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas


    Salary:$17.70 per Hour


    Work Hours:
    FT (40 Hours Week), 11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M., Days vary; 2 days off per week.


    General Job Duties:Follows established cleaning methods in performing daily duties such as dusting (including ceiling fans and air conditioning vents), cleaning/polishing glass and metal surfaces, cleaning restrooms and sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors.
    Uses buffing machine to buff floors.

    Picks up and disposes of trash and litter on the grounds, including removal and disposal of various types of recyclable materials.

    Requests and collects necessary supplies and equipment and transports to work areas. Cleans equipment and returns to designated area after use. Adheres to Goodwill and departmental policies and procedures. Reports any work or area not cleaned by shift's end to immediate supervisor. Performs periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Reports broken, damaged, inoperative equipment, lights, and/or furnishings to immediate supervisor.


    Special Requirements:
    Ability to communicate well, read, write and follow written and/or oral instructions.
    Preference for performing routine and repetitive duties.
    Have an eye for detail cleaning.
    Neat Appearance.
    Able to work with minimal supervision.
    Previous experience in Janitorial services or related work is preferred.
    Must meet disability qualifications set by Ability One/Source America.


    Physical Requirements:Stands, stoops, walks and lifts throughout working day.
    Must be able to periodically lift up to 45 lbs. with assistance and stand/walk for an 8-hour shift.
    Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buffers.
    Visual acuity to detect cleanliness.
    Works in non-airconditioned warehouses and heated/airconditioned offices.
    Works in dust and the smell of cleaning chemicals.
    Needs to be sufficiently mobile to move between buildings at a government facility in all types of weather.
    May be exposed to all weather conditions while being transported and/or going from one job site to another.
    Transportation between buildings during the work day to perform duties will be provided.


    Legal Requirements:
    Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements. Ability to pass federal background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
