Software Engineer - modelling algorithm development

Long Beach, CA. Direct Hire.

Talentry is looking for a talented Software Engineer to develop software tools for advanced satellite communications constellations.

This role is responsible for developing the modeling tools for optimizing many critical features of the performance of our space deployment systems.

The right candidate will help use and optimize modeling tools for communication services and support infrastructure, etc. They will also help develop tools that measure and optimize next-gen satellite communication constellations.

The right candidate will manage the codebase of the modeling tools.

Experience with developing modeling algorithms, 3D modeling, and embedded C++ is is required, but some of the "nice-to-haves" include experience developing GIS tools, previous experience with spacecraft, radio communication experience, etc.

Requirements


Requirements:
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

1-4 years of directly applicable experience.

Embedded C++ experience

Advanced mathematical understanding / algorithm development experience.

Simulation and 3-D Modeling experience

Education/experience focused on aerospace engineering a plus.

Experience with LEO spacecraft a strong plus.

GIS tool development experience a plus

US Citizen or Green Card Holder only (ITAR regulations)

Experience with modeling tools like MATLAB, Python, etc.
