    Salary range: An annual salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 is what we expect to pay for this position, based on overall skills and experience.

    What You'll Do:

    Customers Bank has an immediate opening for a Commercial Credit Analyst / Underwriter reporting to the Regional Credit Officer under the independent risk umbrella in support of our commercial real estate lending activities. This responsibility is fulfilled through the origination of a comprehensive written credit analysis (and, when required, an oral presentation of that analysis to the applicable Loan Committee) , as well as continual client monitoring and follow-up s based on the financial information provided by borrowers and prospects, augmented by a thorough understanding of the industry that the borrower /prospective borrower operates..

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform financial statement spreading and originate comprehensive written analysis, both for new clients and as part of periodic annual reviews, and other credit related memoranda as needed on all assigned credits.
    • Prepare industry research through available resources to complete credit analysis or to assist lending officers in the credit decision process.
    • Be able to read and understand loan documents, able to discuss loan document issues with account officers, borrowers and outside counsel to ensure that when closed each loan fully complies with bank approved terms and conditions and be able to monitor post-closing covenant and financial reporting compliance.
    • Assist lending and credit officers in maintenance of complete and updated credit files for all assigned borrowers. This includes follow-up with clients obtaining current financial statements and other pertinent information as required.
    • Along with account managers meet with clients and prospects to gain a fuller understanding of a client's business activities and financial condition.
    • Provide other credit administration support to lending officers and Regional Credit Officer as necessary to manage credit risk and maintain high quality in the loan portfolio. This includes assistance in follow-up with clients on loan delinquencies and account overdrafts, preparation of Adverse Action Notices, collection of information for turndown and withdrawn application files, and follow-up on missing loan documents, insurance, etc.

    What Do You Need?

    • 3+ years of commercial real estate credit analysis experience in a banking institution preferred.
    • Experience in preparation of credit memoranda is strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with nCino and Salesforce is strongly preferred.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Strong skills working with MS Excel.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and business acumen.
    • Ability to build strong relationships.
    • Bachelor's degree required.

    Technology Skills:

    • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank's applications.
