AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic invasive, non-interventional cardiologist to join our team at our Altamonte Springs location (Formerly Florida Heart Group). Cardiologists must be proficient in all forms of non-invasive cardiology in addition to diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to group call coverage which will be shared amongst the physicians in the practice. AHMG Cardiology at Altamonte is a growing and established practice, part of our Orlando team, consisting of 19 cardiologists – interventional, structural, electrophysiology and general cardiology.
This position will provide some inpatient coverage at AdventHealth Orlando, recognized as the #1 Hospital in Central Florida, by US News and World Report . See our website ( for cardiac treatments and services offered at AdventHealth Orlando.

Several of our cardiologists have been the first in our state to pioneer new cardiovascular procedures, and we strive to remain at the forefront of new technology and techniques. By providing a full range of cardiovascular services, our team of cardiologists and dedicated support staff has enabled tens of thousands of patients throughout Florida to live longer and healthier lives.
The AdventHealth Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the nation. We are a leading provider of cardiovascular and thoracic services among Medicare patients with national rankings that include: #1 in Cardiology volume, #1 in Vascular Surgery volume, #5 in Thoracic Surgery volume and #8 in Open Heart Surgery volume. The AdventHealth HLVI is centered in a tertiary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando with a newly opened Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology.
Requirements for the position: Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Cardiovascular Disease. High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ideal candidates will have practice building experience, however, recent graduates and those early in their career stage willing to build a practice will be considered.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
Practice Description
This opportunity includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. This practice is part of AdventHealth Medical Group. The Medical Group is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs over 1,000 physicians and APP's in 60+ specialties. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
