    About the Role

    The Company is in search of a visionary and entrepreneurial leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative academic physician with a strong track record in clinical, teaching, scholarship, and administrative achievements. This role is pivotal in leading the department into the future, with a focus on advancing women's health and maintaining the highest standards of patient-centered care. The Chair will be responsible for strengthening educational, scholarly, and clinical programs, and must be well-versed in the academic environment to serve within a mission-driven department. A key aspect of the position is the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including community clinicians, leaders, and donors, to ensure the department's success and its critical role in the region.

    Candidates for the Chair position should have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. degree with board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, and a preference for those with subspecialty fellowship training. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of fostering accountability, effectively leading and managing teams, and recruiting and developing faculty and staff. Essential qualifications include a deep commitment to enhancing patient-centered care, fostering community partnerships, and a collaborative leadership style. xhmxlyz The Chair will also be expected to collaborate with the leadership of the company and ProMedica in the creation and execution of a strategic plan for all clinical specialties represented by the academic department, particularly in the areas of teaching and scholarship.
