Sr GL Accountant

Contract expected to be 3 months, through the end of April.

Hybrid, onsite Tuesday and Wednesday

Must have:

5+ years of Corporate Accounting, GAAP

Bachelor's degree, ideally Accounting

Excel - formulas, pivot tables, look ups.

Nice to have:

CPA with experience in a Public Accounting Firm

Seeking a meticulous and driven individual to support our accounting team in various financial tasks and process improvements. Responsibilities include generating ad-hoc revenue and expense reports, reconciling sub-ledger with general ledger systems, and preparing both non-recurring and recurring journal entries on a monthly or quarterly basis. Additionally, you'll be responsible for conducting monthly or quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations, aiding in the enhancement of existing internal controls, and assisting in the implementation of identified process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) licensure preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting

Experience in public accounting preferred, though not mandatory

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP

Demonstrated leadership and management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous

Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Highly motivated and able to collaborate effectively in a team while adapting to a dynamic work environment
