    Job Title: Superintendent - Commercial Construction

    Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Our client, a leading construction company specializing in commercial projects in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Superintendent with experience building commercial facilities from start to finish.

    Position Overview: As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate all aspects of the construction process. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing commercial construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
    • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage project logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and manpower allocation.
    • Monitor work progress, quality, and safety to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to identify issues, implement solutions, and maintain open communication with all stakeholders.
    • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Manage project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and change orders.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among all project team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
    • OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
