    SummaryAs a Cost Accountant at Nextivity Inc., you will be an integral part of the Company's growth and ensuring appropriate accounting.

    You will be responsible for a variety of ad hoc projects and recurring monthly tasks for the Cost Accounting team.

    The ideal candidate will have a can-do mindset and will drive efficiency by improving current processes and procedures and helping to determine scalable solutions for new processes.

    Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInvestigating moving average unit cost variances.
    Reviewing work orders / bill of materials.
    Planning and performing inventory audits.
    Reconciling and closing WIP jobs.
    Reviewing in-transit and aged inventory.
    Supporting inventory and WIP related requests from internal auditor, external auditors, procurement, material planners, and other outside departments.
    Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains database concerning expenses.
    Develops systems and procedures for accumulation systems and/or cost accounting functions.
    Predicts, plans, and records variable costs such as purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.
    Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
    Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
    Determines and recommends cost-effective solutions.
    Provides product sample costs for Marketing and General Accounting.
    Assists with technical accounting whitepapers as needed.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Skills And AbilitiesMust have experience as a successful individual contributor.
    Must be self-motivated, take ownership of responsibilities, self-starting, self-managing.
    Must be proactive, taking initiative and working in a collaborative team environment.

    Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and have a positive attitude with eagerness to learn.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; other language skills are a plus.

    Ability to use sound judgment when representing the Company, operate as part of a team and collaborate with others while taking sales or program initiative.

    Ability to perform data analysis and identify cost drivers/dependencies.
    Ability to use sound judgment when representing the Company.
    Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
    Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
    Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
    Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statements, and applying accounting theory.
    Foster a professional attitude and demonstrate integrity and flexibility.
    Entrepreneurial, rapid learner, inquisitive, and persistent.
    Process Owner / process driven.
    Proactive Personality ('Can Do Attitude').Self-starter, goal-oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    Work Experience3+ years accounting or relevant experience is required.
    Preferred Cost Accounting experienceCPA Preferred.
    Big 4 or other public accounting experience preferred.
    Large company (>$100M Revenue) experience is preferred.
