Responsibilities

Leadership
– Direct activities of a regional team focused on security, risk mitigation and continuity of operations.
– Partner with national and international regional leadership and internal stakeholders.
– Build and support constructive relationships with in-country intelligence agencies and law enforcement.
Brand Protection
– Establish standards and associated risk controls designed to mitigate risk, both foreign and domestic.
– Develop protocols to protect brands and other assets and intellectual property from theft, tampering and other risks.
– Initiate and audit standards for suppliers and logistics providers.
Resiliency and Incident Response
– Develop processes designed to maintain continuity of operations.
– Support crisis management teams and committees.
Intelligence
– Develop domestic and international intelligence related to external threats to organizational operations.
– Assess geopolitical events and model responses and remedies to potential threats.
– Brief executive and regional leadership.
Human Capital
– Develop protection protocols for principals and regional leadership both onsite and at events.
– Design programs to address risk for expatriates and their families within the region.
– Prepare and deliver briefings for employees traveling domestically and internationally.
Investigations
– Oversee complex and sensitive regional investigations.
Physical Security
– Implement state-of-the-art technology to protect tangible and intangible assets.
– Audit and ensure the security of multiple sites within the region via on-site team members and contracted security services.
– Implement efficiency in regional security programs.
Regulatory
– Ensure via audit that local security activities comply with all legal and regulatory requirements including CTPAT and TAPA.
Collaboration
– Work closely with the Head of Global Security, functioning in an acting capacity in their absence.
– Provide assistance to other regional teams when necessary.

You Have:
An academic degree with a commitment to additional education and professional development.
Operational expertise derived from regional security leadership with a multinational corporation.
Earlier public sector employment with a government law enforcement or intelligence agency.
Strong language skills including fluency in English, preferably also in Spanish, and a big plus for Portuguese.
