    Job Description:

    The Workers will apply their expert knowledge of QA testing in the client-agency technology applications (ADA, Informatica, mainframe, Legacy open systems/Java, .NET, Oracle, MS SQL, etc.) to support the needs of internal Mainframe Transformation project teams.

    Major responsibilities include performing software testing activities to include participation in or completion of implementation validation actions across multiple test streams, typically under tight deadlines. Work includes developing Quality Assurance (QA) artifacts such as use cases and test cases/scenarios based on software requirements/design; preparation for and completion of test triage activities with large teams or as the only tester; completion of ADA accessibility testing; and reporting on test status and test metrics daily as input for tracking work in the Mainframe Transformation program.

    Duties involve the use of multiple methods for manual and automated integration, system, and regression testing transactional database applications, including Informatica code and bridging; data reporting systems; legacy mainframe applications; and testing of applications written in Java and .NET. Work also may involve analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to identify improvements to automate processing or to improve existing systems. The QA position may be assigned additional related essential tasks as required to maintain internal and contract-related deadlines.

    Required Skills:
    • 8 Years of Skill/understanding of Smoke Testing, Regression testing, Black box testing, white box testing, and manual and automation testing. Experience must demonstrate advanced-level use of SQL queries and PL SQL programs.
    • 8 Years of Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.
    • 8 Years of Writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures (including test plans and test cases).
    • 8 Years of Reviewing and interpreting business requirements and design specifications and translating them into test procedures.
    • 8 Years of Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • 8 Years of Good communication skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral), be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient.
    • 4 Years of Skill with application testing using SQL, PL SQL.
    • 2 Years of Skill with testing of applications designed in Java, and .NET.
    • 2 Years of Ability to test Web applications; familiar with Cloud and Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) concepts.
    Preferred Skills:
    • 6 Years of Generating SQL queries and using other data interrogation methods.
    • 4 Years of Skill with developing Web application testing automation using Java and Selenium, or similar.
    • 4 Years of Familiarity with database queries and the ability to create input data and verify data updates.
    • 4 Years of Experience in ADA planning and testing.
    • 4 Years of Familiarity with Informatica and Change Data Capture (CDC) planning and testing
    • 4 Years of Understanding of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.
    • 4 Years of Skill with current web technologies and testing of web applications.
    • 4 Years of Experience in functional testing, performance testing, and load and stress testing.
    • 1 Year of Skill with Mainframe application testing (one or more of COBOL, JCL, CICS), Informatica, and Mulesoft.
    • 1 Year of Experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement related projects.
    • Required bachelor's degree or equivalent.
