This role will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel power tractor trailer combinations, truck or van to: 1) transport 2) pick up and 3) deliver products, or materials in loose packages.

Operations Manager

Travel Requirement:
% of Travel Required/Frequency

With a 23 dollar per hour detention and breakdown pay and 25 dollars per stop pay.

Home every weekend and usually several nights per week.

• Drives trucks to various destinations approx.
• Maintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage; Maintains truck log, per state and federal regulations
• Inspects truck equipment and suppliers such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water
• Drives vehicle to transport items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipment

Pickup/Delivery

• Maintains phone contact with supervisor and/or dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery instructions
• Prepares receipts and collects payment for good delivered and for delivery charges when required
• Loads and unloads truck
• Has inspection authority to release product prior to delivery

Minimum of 2 years' local city delivery experience required

• Class A license required
• The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units and measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as well as algebraic formulas

Forklift certified preferred but not required

Carrying - Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands, or arms, or on the shoulder.

• Sitting - Remaining in a normal seated position while driving from and to locations
