    : Scope/Purpose of the Position

    The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing the quality assurance technicians and supporting a cross-functional operations team by ensuring food safety and quality programs are effectively implemented and monitored. This position will require a can-do mindset with a systematic approach to ensure internal and customer food safety and quality expectations are not just met, they are exceeded. An individual looking to develop a team of quality technicians, lead and cultivate a food safety and quality culture, and drive continuous improvement of the FSQA systems will find success in this position.

    Requirements:

    Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
    • Perform all supervisor duties for QA technicians including but not limited to hiring, scheduling, professional development, goal setting, discipline, and payroll
    • Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of food safety and quality systems through the creation and development of monitoring, verification, and validation activities
    • Maintain the implementation and development of the facility's HACCP, SSOP, GMP, CAPA pre-requisite programs
    • Assess data generated by QA and production teams to identify trends and develop plans to drive continuous improvement
    • Utilize a risk-based approach in ensuring all product meets food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
    • Assist management as a primary contact for 3rd party pest control, chemical supplier, and microbiological lab contracted service providers
    • Lead team meetings with QA team and Plant management teams
    • Support and partake in 3rd Party audits (SQF, Non-GMO, Organic, Customer, FDA, Kosher)
    • Adhere to Bakerly's safety policies and procedures
    • Adhere to Bakerly's Good Manufacturing Practices
    • All other duties as assigned by management
    Job Qualification Requirements
    • Associates' or Bachelor's degree in a science discipline or 1-3 years of experience in a Quality assurance role in a food manufacturing facility
    • Ability to assess risk and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
    • Ability to display leadership skills and develop leadership skills of team and coworkers
    • Ability to quickly respond to incidents and changes and lead a team of technicians through them
    • Display initiative to assess department to create, plan, and execute tasks with minimal direction
    • Exceptional communication skills
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and/or coworkers
    • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
    • Critical thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindset
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Ability to read and interpret data and related documentation
    • Basic mathematical (addition, division, multiplication, percentages) and computer skills (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Excellent attendance and punctuality
    • Must have flexibility to work overtime or other shifts if needed
    • Ability to work on your feet in a warm and cold environment
