- Work 4-6 hours inside at Scovill Activity Center and outdoors at various locations
- Very little time is spent indoors
- Assist with planning daily activities and field trips
- Clean room at the end of each day
- Take kids to the restroom when needed and change diapers when needed
- Help serve snack and lunch and clean up after
- On pool days be sure to wear swim suits and be in the water with the children
- Take daily attendance and daily sign out
- Assist children with keeping storage areas clean and organized
- Must be able to lead a group in an organized game
- Reports any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
- Must have the ability to interact with children with special needs ages 6 and up.
- Enjoy working with youth and adults with special needs
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with peers
- Previous experience working in an organized special needs program preferred
- Preferred CPR/First Aid training
