    Description

    We are currently seeking candidates to staff at a great hospital in Lafayette. These are day shift, 13-week-long contracts. 2 years of experience is required. The pay rate is $46 to $55 per hour, this is subject to change due to contract availability, and location.

    Responsibilities of the IR Tech

    • Assist Interventional radiologists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using imaging guidance.
    • Prepares and positions patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
    • Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, and Ultrasound machines.
    • Feel confident administering contrasts as ordered, while monitoring vital signs and condition.
    • Assist with sterile setup and maintenance of the sterile field to ensure and follow strict infection control policy.
    • Timely and accurate documentation of any patient care in an electronic medical record.
    • Effectively collaborate with other members of the patient's care team.
    • Provides appropriate patient care while adhering to professional practices and assuring a healthy work environment.
    • Provide effective and high-quality imaging with ultrasound.
    • Provide immediate assistance or intervention when needed.

    Requirements of the IR Tech

    • Active ARRT and ISDH Tech licenses within the state of Indiana
    • 2 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility
    • Must be proficient ingeneral IR procedures and fully understand sterile field techniques.
    • Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
    • Must be able to remain calm under pressure
    • Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
    • Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
    • Preferred, but not required: Experience with Siemens, Phillips IR Suites
