- Determines and obtains appropriate information pertinent to work with individual students through interviews, observations, testing/assessments, review of records, and contacts with other professional agencies.
- Integrates information from a variety of sources including observation assessment data, interviews and records in order to assist school teams in determining the disabling condition and developing intervention plans based on this data.
- Presents findings and intervention plans to parents and school staff in team meetings.
- Conducts counseling sessions with individuals and/or groups of school-age children using techniques that will encourage self-understanding and constructive behavior.
- Responsible for evaluation of students with disabilities according to State and Federal laws.
- Assists school staff in altering and/or managing behavior.
- Serve on evaluation team meetings with parents.
- Consults with staff of programs for emotionally disabled students.
- Consults with other regular and special education staff related to the emotional and behavioral needs of students as these relate to their education.
- Provide intellectual, academic, behavioral, and personality evaluations for students.
- Provide psychological evaluations of disabled or potentially disabled students through interviews with relevant persons, administration of diagnostic instruments, integration of information and preparation for presentation to teams, and interpretation of findings to students, teachers, parents, and team members.
- Follow guidelines of National Association of School Psychologist's Professional Conduct Manual at all times.

POSITION GOAL:
To administer a variety of psycho-educational instruments to students who are experiencing difficulties (academic or behavioral) in the classroom. To help school(s) determine if a student is eligible for special education services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's Degree in school psychology or equivalent
Certification: NH Department of Education School Psychologist certification
Experience: Experience in school environment
Criminal Record Check: Required per NH RSA 189:13-a
Pre-Employment Medical Exam: Required per NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3
EVALUATION:
Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluations.
