- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Property & Casualty Underwriter, or 3 to 5 years in a related industry role
- B.A. degree in insurance, business, or related field is preferred
- Achievement or pursuit of insurance designations such as AU, CPCU, ARM
- Hold or obtain property-casualty license for the state of residence
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and prioritization capabilities
- Effective negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Detail-oriented with proficient IT skills
- Underwrite and price new business and renewal submissions
- Build and maintain relationships with producers and accounts
- Analyze underwriting information and documentation
- Demonstrate knowledge of program forms and ratings
- Ensure policy accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Monitor risk control and claims activities

About the Position
Join us as a P&C Underwriter in our Glatfelter Healthcare Underwriting team. As an Underwriter, you'll play a key role in managing and underwriting a portfolio of business within an assigned territory. Your responsibilities will include qualifying and pricing new and renewal business, adhering to underwriting guidelines, and delivering exceptional service to clients.
