    Overview:


    The Human Resources (HR) Leader will report to the Regional Human Resource Leader and oversee the day-to-day operations of the human resources team at the new Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Columbia, SC.

    This individual will help lead a workforce responsible for distributing millions of cases of inventory annually to Chick-fil-A Operators throughout the southwest.

    The Talent Leader will ensure that the workforce can meet the demands of the DC, working closely with Chick-fil-A Supply Talent leadership and other distribution centers to drive the talent strategy at the DC.

    Supported by the Talent Specialist(s), the Talent Leader will manage reward and benefit systems to help meet broader organizational goals.

    This person will help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry, by focusing specifically on the engagement and development of the workforce.

    This role will be uniquely challenged with their participation in the stand up of a brand-new DC and the testing and refinement of a new facility implementation playbook to assist in the stand up of future facilities.

    Most importantly, the Talent Leader will lead in a way that supports Chick-fil-A's vision and strategy while embodying the corporate purpose.

    Support team leaders and site leadership team by providing guidance on performance management, problem solving, and various policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, etc.)
    Execute recruitment and retention initiatives that support the broader business goals of the DC
    Coordinate with the legal team at CFA Inc. to ensure legal compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements and advise DC leaders on employment law and government regulations
    Implement and oversee performance review and incentive programs within the DC
    Achieve target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to attrition, employee engagement and safety
    Drive employee engagement across all departments of the DC

    Support the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by helping build a culture that aligns with the Chick-fil-A Supply values of care, safety and excellence.

    Support organizational growth and future distribution center openers by participating in interview events, training/onboarding and providing temporary talent support, if needed
    Complete other activities as deemed valuable by the organization

    Relationship Management:
    Work closely with CFA Supply Senior Leadership Team, CFA Inc. Supply Chain, Operators, and various business partners to ensure optimal alignment and collaboration
    Provide employee relations support to all distribution center staff
    Maintain a positive, service-focused mindset
    Demonstrate the ability to value both relationships and results and to put others above themselves

    Recruit, train, and develop a strong team


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or another relevant field
    7 years of HR experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
    Demonstrated knowledge of general HR policies, procedures and practices
    Ability to build relationships with and influence others across multiple operations
    Ability to navigate a confrontational situation, ensuring all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect
    Excellent business communication and presentation skills
    Experience with investigations including, but not limited to, accidents and harassment allegations
    Experience recruiting and developing a strong, diverse team
    Ability to lead through change management
    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Preferred Qualifications:
    7-10 years of HR experience in a distribution environment
    Active PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or similar certification
    Excellent knowledge of employment law and other governmental requirements related to human resources
    Working knowledge of logistics, warehousing and IT systems
    Working knowledge of supply chain innovations
    Working knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA, etc.) for all functions performed in a distribution facility
    Demonstrated business acumen and ownership of HR KPIs; using data to drive continuous improvement
    Demonstrated ability leading in distribution center
    Startup experience
    Food service distribution experience
    Minimum Years of Experience: 7
    Travel Requirements: 15% Required Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
