    Job Description SNI has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company near Waterbury who is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team


    Responsibilities include:

    Analyze current manufacturing state and develop action plans using Lean techniques to drive faster changeovers, reduce errors, standardize processes, decrease downtime, and increase OEE.

    Manage Continuous Improvement Projects, lead initiatives, provide updates, set goals, establish priorities, and manage project resources. Utilize Lean principles to design and implement new manufacturing processes, methodologies, and equipment layouts to enhance overall equipment effectiveness. Evaluate plant performance relative to goals and adjust action plans accordingly. Possess a strong understanding of Lean principles, Manufacturing, and Injection Molding floor operations. Analyze process flow and value stream layouts, offering recommendations for improvement. Identify and implement modifications to enhance efficiencies and overall plant performance. Optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, including addressing product non-conformance and root cause analysis. Support the development and improvement of Technical Operating Instructions. Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, including documentation and training. Support new automation initiatives and provide lead support post-launch.


    Desired Skills and Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing. 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Six Sigma training and experience. Ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels. Ability to develop and manage project timelines and budgets. Experience with plastic injection molding. Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Solidworks. Experience with automation projects and PLC programming is a plus.
