Maintenance Technician

General Summary Sets up new equipment and makes necessary repairs of faulty equipment by troubleshooting.

Maintains equipment by performing daily/weekly/monthly required preventative maintenance checks. Coordinates with Production/Warehouse Operators for scheduled shutdowns for equipment maintenance. Work requires ability to read and comprehend written instruction and procedures. Operates Forklift and other equipment in a safe manner. Trains new Maintenance Operators. Reports to Maintenance Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities New Equipment Set-Up & Testing Operate Forklifts and other equipment Performs Regular Equipment Operations Maintenance Repairs Equipment Documents and logs all work performed on check list Coordinates scheduled shutdowns with Production/Warehouse Operators for equipment maintenance Keeps work area and equipment clean Trains new Maintenance Technicians Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School Diploma or GED Must be able to read and comprehend directions and instructions Must be able to perform mathematic calculations (add, subtract, multiple, divide) and use other units of measure Must have previous machine operating experience in manufacturing facility or similar relevant experience Mechanical knowledge of equipment to perform maintenance and repairs, which includes electrical lockout Must acknowledge and adhere to all Safety Rules and wear required Personal Protective Equipment Must have good and clear communication skills for training purposes.

Must be able to lift heavy objects, bend, walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to meet deadlines Must have reliable transportation Team Player Working Conditions Sufficient noise from equipment peripheral to cause extreme physical discomfort.

PPE including a minimum of Hearing and Eye/Face protection required at all times. Sufficient measures of electricity in use to cause harm to operator upon serious malfunction. Benefits
