- Assist the Director of Product Development in developing strategic plans to penetrate existing accounts, coordinating closely with designers, Import Account Coordinators, and our China office on sample follow-up and preparation.
- Complete product catalogs and sell sheets for each season within company deadlines.
- Conduct market research to identify new categories and trends, comparing current and future markets to create trend guides.
- Analyze supplier quotes to enhance market competitiveness in terms of quality and pricing.
- Serve as a liaison between the Director of Product Development, Designers, Import Account Coordinators, and the sales team.
- Negotiate costs with Import Account Coordinators and China office managers to optimize margins.
- Utilize Photoshop and Illustrator for basic design tasks
- Review product development sample quality, provide feedback, and collaborate with the China team or suppliers to refine products.
- Assist in the development of product concepts and specifications. This could include creating product briefs, sketches, or prototypes to present ideas to the greater team
- Support the product launch process by assisting with marketing materials, coordinating promotional activities, and preparing for product distribution.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, engineering, art, design, or related field.
- Knowledge of product development processes and methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in consumer goods industry is desirable.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with MidJourney AI software preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyze supplier quotes.

- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. On occasion, must be able to contact our China office and/or factories outside of working hours.
