• Friday, some weekend overtimeResponsibilities:Accurately selects type of welding equipment and consumable rod required to conform to the metal characteristics of the components to be welded.

Accurately determines material setups, welding positions and the specifications involved.
Correctly and routinely sets up welding equipment required, clamps material to be welded to dimensional requirements.
Typically determines most appropriate gas (with proper regulation) and orifice to obtain proper welds and maximum strength.
Determines various techniques and procedures appropriate to the types of welding to be performed.
Uses correct techniques to minimize distortion and war-page and provide welds of required strength and required appearance.

Typically makes use of proper measurement devices necessary to maintain required with an understanding of Department and Plant requirements.

Routinely practices safety necessary for himself and all other employees.
Cleans products before welding; cleans products after welding, prior to delivery to next work-center/Department.

Uses the tools and skills of continuous quality improvementQualifications:
Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, memos, and correctly interpret blueprints.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
