As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross‑functional team that is responsible for full software development from front‑end to back‑end. You will help design and implement solutions within our microservices architecture to deliver scalable systems to our patients and customers. As part of our development team, you will help optimize our coding conventions and processes for better performance, security and maintainability. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering.

This role offers a base salary of $145,000 and company equity.

The Day-to-Day

You'll work closely with two Engineering teams to help design high‑quality code that scales with our growing user base. Your responsibilities will include:

• Work collaboratively within an Agile environment to help architect well‑engineered, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our healthcare partners and users.
• Partner with the Product Management team to review and estimate projects, refine work, and contribute to developing robust technical solutions.
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure all code properly adheres to coding best practices, security, testing, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with QA Engineers to ensure a shared understanding of product requirements, address testability challenges and resolve known issues.
• Contribute to an environment that promotes continuous improvement through inspection and adaptation in both processes and technologies.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends to foster both your own growth and the team's development.

• Starting with the obvious: you are PASSIONATE (Seriously, you must LOVE what you do)
• You have 5+ years' experience in a software engineering role.
• You're comfortable using software design patterns and object‑oriented design principles.
• You demonstrate an understanding of security best practices.
• You've written code for highly scalable web‑based applications.
• You have experience with Agile and Scrum practices and tools.
• You have extensive experience building and designing microservice architectures using Node frameworks like NestJS.
• Interest and/or experience with front‑end development, preferably with and Nuxt.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and TypeScript is nice to have.
• You have extensive experience building and maintaining REST and gRPC APIs.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• And you have a bachelor's degree in anything. We mean it Business, History, Cooking (actually, that could be incredibly useful)... anything.

• Experience using Docker.
• Experience with relational and non‑relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis).
• Experience with payment processors, such as Stripe.
