    Job Description

    Serves as technical engineer for the Opry Entertainment Group. Oversees and optimizes the design, operation and maintenance of all technical and media systems.

    Provides technical support and consultation for various OEG properties and new business opportunities, ensuring world-class technical execution and the delivery of quality experiences for visiting artists, production teams and fans.

    Supports Engineer for Technical Services during live, television, radio or internet events.

    Supports Chief Technical Engineer with the maintenance, organization, operation and documentation of all audio and visual equipment, as well as the digitization, archiving, backup, and on/offsite storage for the asset management system.

    Executes the research and development of all technical upgrades.

    Oversees the preventative maintenance and repair of all electronic equipment including audio, video, communications, inhouse television, media appliances and storage devices.

    Maintains and monitors the design, operation and repair of all in-house technical media system infrastructure; including audio, coax, A/V CAT5/6 and fiber connectivity.

    Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained for all technical systems and wiring; including block diagrams, system schematics, CAD drawings and detailed technical procedures.

    Interfaces with Information Technology and Other departments within the organization, with respect to technical systems.

    Maintains awareness of all current technologies and recommends equipment system changes, upgrades and modifications which includes sight visits and industry trade shows.

    Maintain a safe and secure environment for artists, clients, employees, etc. ensuring that all codes, laws, regulations and emergency procedures are followed.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Education
    Associates Degree in a related field required.

    Experience
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in the audio and video industry.
    Extensive experience with electronic repair and schematic design required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Advanced knowledge of media appliance computers, A/V design and electronics troubleshooting.
    Basic knowledge of music and acoustics.

    Licenses / Certifications
    Must have Powerd Industrial Trucks Certification or ability to attain within 90 days of employment
    Will be required to complete 10-Hour OSHA Training after hire

    This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine,
    amphetamines, and opiates).
