    Vaya is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Assessment and Development team. Senior Consultants will work on project teams with seasoned practitioners and sales colleagues to deliver custom solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. This role is critical to scaling Vayas success. Individuals at this level exercise judgment in understanding client issues and customizing solutions to fit those issues. They have developed a level of presence and maturity enabling them to take the lead on senior-level client projects and are skilled at building trust and gaining the confidence of clients.

    Senior Consultants are expected to be autonomous in delivering assessment and development solutions spanning from the emerging-leader population up to the executive level; therefore, individuals must have strong experience delivering assessments that utilize interviews, psychometric tests, 360 feedback, and simulation exercises.

    Additionally, Senior Consultants will continuously improve their knowledge and skills, aligned to Vaya methodology. They are also expected to mentor and build the skills of peers and colleagues. Demonstrated success in this role is an important step toward the career path of a Managing Consultant.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Conduct leadership assessments utilizing interviews, psychometric tests, 360 feedback, and simulations, then apply assessments to high-potential management programs, assessment centers,
    • and leadership development and coaching to enable insights for leaders at all levels.
    • Evaluate client needs and develop solutions that meet or exceed the client expectations leveraging Vaya assessment tools, methodologies, and consultant resources.
    • Support the design or development of solutions for our clients by working as part of a client or opportunity team and leveraging the insights gained through research and analytics.
    • Manage large projects or a significant workstream of a more complex program and/or support relationship development as part of an account.
    • Estimate complete resource planning for projects, recognizing when additional resources and/or expertise is needed and managing their involvement in the project (e.g., project onboarding and briefing).
    • Assume Lead Consultant role for select clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Support senior colleagues on larger, more complex projects, potentially leading client-facing aspects of the project in an area of expertise.

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least 5 years of experience delivering assessments to a variety of individuals using behavioral interviewing, psychometric testing, 360 feedback, and simulation exercises.
    • Masters or Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology (or related field) with 5+ years experience. Alternatively, extensive relevant work experience (e.g., in a professional services or consulting firm, within a human resources or organization design department, delivering human capital-related services).
    • Must have passion for the delivery of assessments and developing leaders.
    • Preferred experience interacting with client executives in the context of project delivery.
    • Have established credentials in assessment and ability to operate independently to make
    • custom adjustments to relatively standard offerings to meet client needs.
    • Ability to lead core service work activities.
    • Preferred experience conducting aggregate data analysis and leading client accounts.
