Notes to applicants:The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the implementation of Dimensional's investment philosophy. Portfolios are structured to target sources of higher expected return that have been identified and vetted by academia and Dimensional's research team. The team is responsible for the daily oversight and management of Dimensional's portfolios to ensure consistent and efficient exposure to these sources of higher expected returns. Additionally, Portfolio Management interacts and collaborates closely with several departments including Trading, Research, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and the Global Client Group to ensure a superior investment experience for our clients.
As an Analyst, you will support the day-to-day needs of the Portfolio Management team. Analysts are responsible for performing a series of daily tasks to ensure that our management and trading processes run smoothly. In addition to standard responsibilities, Analysts collaborate with senior team members on ad-hoc requests and projects that provide outstanding learning opportunities and the chance to gain familiarity with processes related to fund management.
Once settled into the role, Analysts join the "Analyst Development Program" as well as get a chance to become junior leads of a number of investment processes. The increasing exposure to various tasks and great emphasis on development set out the first stepping-stones en-route to becoming a Portfolio Manager. Additionally, the job may require the use of tools and procedures that are supported by databases and various coding languages. Candidates should be willing to learn SQL, MS Access, and Python through provided training.
