    Job Summary:

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the Bethlehem & Easton location under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Manager.

    *This is considered a Safety Sensitive position, therefore the incumbent will be will be subject to random drug testing as required for the duration of employment.


    Responsibilities:
    Primary Duties &

    Responsibilities:
    Performs facility maintenance and repair at the Bethlehem and Easton, PA facilities.
    Routine visual inspection of utility and other building related systems.
    Utilize network of approved third party vendors, contractors, and other resources to optimize capabilities.
    Schedule and assist employees, contractors, and subcontractors with ad hoc projects as needed.
    Maintain Emergency Response Plan, provide emergency call out support for site emergencies, and support safety audits.
    Inspects and performs regular maintenance and minor repairs to buildings.
    Inspect building structures and systems to determine repair needs.
    Make regular rounds to all areas within the facilities to ensure that activities are conducted safely.
    Navigate Preventive Maintenance Program and Daily Work Orders through Facility CMMS software.
    Other duties as assigned.
    OE/Lean

    Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.

    Education and Experience
    High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade or Technical degree preferred.
    At least five years of facilities related maintenance experience.
    Ability to take direction and then complete projects on a timely basis.
    Valid driver's license required.
    Professional qualifications such as electrical or mechanical certifications strongly preferred
    Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facility best practices.
    Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles is a plus.
    Read, write, speak, and understand English
    Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written
    Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    Strong analytical/critical thinking
    Operations, services, and activities of a building maintenance, repair, and construction program.

    Materials, methods, terminology, equipment, and tools used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of building structures and systems including those used in performing rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, heating, minor electrical, mechanical, and painting work.

    Equipment, tools, and materials used in facility maintenance activities.
    Principles and practices of safety management.
    Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and Microsoft Office software applications.
    Understanding of local ordinances and codes.
    Read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications.
    Organize and implement facility maintenance operations and activities.
    Adherence to department policies and procedures.
    Experience developing cost estimates for supplies and equipment.
    Will be able to create standard work procedures related to assigned operations.
    Knowledge of Operational Excellence / Lean is

    Travel:
    Regular travel between the Bethlehem and Easton, PA locations, utilizing a company vehicle, is required.

    Working Conditions:
    Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time. Must be able to utilize/view a computer and/or monitor. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.

    Operational Excellence Training:

    A new employee hired to perform the duties of this position is required to be provided New Employee Training by a qualified individual or through the online training system.

    Additionally, an employee must be provided further training if a job duty/task has changes that will affect the health and safety aspects of that employee's position.

    Additional refresher safety training will be required as management deems appropriate or as dictated by government regulations.
