- Directs activities as related to AP, AR, Credit and Collections, General Ledger and Cash Management
- Ensures books are closed on a timely monthly basis and reports results in a timely manner. Ensures that reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and that all financial results are booked in accordance with GAAP principals.
- Prepares reports and analysis which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and projected operations. Explains variances in performance.
- Leads plant annual budgeting process and prepares necessary supporting documents for corporate consolidation.
- Implements systems, policies and procedures that enable the plant to better manage performance, reporting and internal controls.
- Supports year-end audit and tax preparations as directed.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with local General Manager and lead team to help achieve business objectives.
- Provides day-to-day accounting and financial support to the department managers and other members of the management team.
- Facilitates and coordinates intercompany activities and accounting as needed.
- Works with operations to identify and track key metrics to drive operational performance
- Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress toward various business initiatives.
- Works with HR regarding payroll processing.
- Completes presentations & analysis for management use.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent; and six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required - printing or packaging preferred.
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Access, at the level of an Advanced User. PowerPoint skills and ability to create management presentations a must.
- Experience with Radius ERP or comparable or Labeltraxx preferred
