    Quality Control (QC) Welding Inspector

    About the Role:

    The Quality Control (QC) Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welded components and assemblies. This involves performing visual and mechanical inspections, conducting tests, and reviewing welding procedures to guarantee compliance with industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct detailed visual and mechanical inspections of welded parts, assemblies, and finished products.
    • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, or dye-penetrant testing to detect defects.
    • Verify that welding work complies with established specifications, codes, and company standards.
    • Evaluate welding procedures against industry codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, API).
    • Measure welds using precision instruments and perform dimensional checks.
    • Maintain accurate inspection records, including reports of non-conformances and corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with welding engineers, production teams, and QC staff to resolve quality issues.
    • Provide feedback to operators and recommend corrective actions for defective welds.
    • Audit and review welding procedures and practices.
    • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and inspection technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in welding or quality control preferred.
    • At least 3 years of experience in welding inspection or quality control, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Strong knowledge of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and other common welding methods.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including AWS, ASME, API, and ISO.
    • Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
    • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
