    Position Summary

    Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for being hands on and leading the team Design, implement, and manage AWS/Azure cloud-based infrastructure and services.

    Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud resources. Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
    Responsibilities


    • Stay current with AWS/Azure cloud services, tools, and best practices, and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve cloud infrastructure.
    • Design Azure / AWS cloud Application Architecture, deploy, and manage Azure cloud-based infrastructure and services.
    • Provide Application observability, failure mode analysis and plan for disaster recovery.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
    • Implement best practices for cost optimization and resource utilization in the AWS/Aure environment.
    • Define Devops standards and implement CI/CD pipeline using Terraform, Azure DevOps, Git and Jenkins
    • Provide strategic technology direction and leadership to the business, overseeing technology projects and driving the planning and implementation of the technology infrastructure.
    • Guide company decision-making regarding the adoption of appropriate technologies, execution roadmaps, and the timing for phasing out existing technologies.
    • Foster a culture of standards awareness and continuous education among personnel to ensure consistent adherence to infrastructure policies, standards, and guidelines.
    • Develop guidelines and standards for Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure Architecture, emphasizing best practices in infrastructure and security within a centralized management model.
    • Create implementation roadmaps that align with business requirements and minimize disruptions during the transition to the target state.
    • Collaborate with various teams (application, data, security, and infrastructure) to define high-level plans for infrastructure solutions, while evaluating their impact against established standards.
    • Partner closely with delivery and operational teams to integrate follow Industry standards into the application development and operations lifecycle.
    • Assist in designing governance activities to ensure compliance with enterprise infrastructure architecture norms.
    • Offer consultation on projects where technology standards are not yet defined or where efforts are falling short of meeting business requirements.
    • Evaluate vendors, applications, and services by collaborating with key stakeholders to establish criteria aligned with business needs.

    Experience and Qualifications of the Role


    • 10+ years of IT experience with over 5 years as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect and/or Engineer, with an additional 2+ years focused on designing cloud frameworks or implementing cloud infrastructure.
    • Extensive involvement in large-scale enterprise public and private cloud projects, from ideation to the final production product, spanning 5+ years.
    • 3+ years of experience in application and/or infrastructure solution architecture.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure across all Cloud Service Providers or equivalent products and services.
    • Balancing long-term strategic objectives with short-term tactical imperatives.
    • Proficiency in applying enterprise technology frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
    • Familiarity with the Zero Trust Architecture framework, NIST framework, and practical application of these frameworks to infrastructure technology.
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing multi-tier and cross-platform architecture plans, including enterprise workflows and distributed architecture.
    • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration within all Cloud Service Providers.
    • Experience deploying web and service-based applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
    • Background in IT infrastructure, including datacenter computing, storage, networking, hyperconverged technologies, backups, monitoring, server OS, and databases.
    • Working knowledge of best practices and capabilities across all Cloud Service Providers.
    • Proficient in managing current state to future state infrastructure roadmaps.
