Job summary
The Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks assigned by the Director of Safety & Emergency Management in support of Safety and Emergency Management functions at one or more Valley Health System (VHS) Hospitals.The Coordinator may assist in providing support to VHS hospitals and all associated VHS business entities within proximity to these assigned campuses.
Reports directly to the Director, Safety and Emergency Management. Conducts fire drill, environmental rounding and safety inspections.
- Assists in conducting annual inventory of mass casualty equipment and supplies.
- Assists with conducting Risk Assessments related to Safety & Emergency Management, the Physical Environment, Hazardous Materials and Waste Management.
- Attends Pre-Construction meetings.
