    Job Description and Duties

    Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

    Under the general supervision of the Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF) or the Materials and Stores Supervisor II, CF, the Materials and Stores Supervisor I, CF assists in the overall operation of the health care facility supply room and warehouse. The Materials and Stores Supervisor I, CF performs a variety of tasks associated with receiving, storing, issuing, inventory, and shipping a wide variety of health care supplies and equipment. The Materials and Stores Supervisor I, CF, supervises the conduct of inmates, residents or patients, and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    One year of experience performing the duties of a Stock Clerk, Warehouse Worker (Correctional Facility) or Warehouse Worker in California state service.

    Or II

    Two years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse in work involving the receipt and issuance of large volume of varied commodities. (Experience in California state service applied toward this requirement must include at least one year in a class at a level of responsibility at least equivalent to Stock Clerk.)

    Working Conditions

    Travel is required.

    Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
