Special Education - 900 Watervliet-Shaker Road
Basic Function:
To provide instructional, supervisory and direct leadership in a variety of BOCES programs.
Responsibilities:
A. New York State certification in School Building Leader or School Administrator/Supervisor required. B.
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university, or one accredited by New York State to grant degrees, with a Master's Degree in educational leadership or a related field.
C. At least three years experience in administration preferred. D. Programmatic experience in Special Education and knowledge of state/local regulations required. E. Experience with diverse classrooms with intense behavior needs. F. Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, family members, school district administrators, and other external professional staff. G. Strong belief and commitment to development of a restorative school environment. H. Must demonstrate ability to work with and/or on a team of other administrators to lead systemic change.Position
