    We are seeking a Junior Engineer.

    This job is located on-site at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    ESN is seeking a Junior Engineer to support the Naval Sea Systems Command's PEO Carriers by:

    • Providing engineering support involving New Construction and modernization efforts for the US Navy's AEGIS Fleet.
    • Writing technical documents to include training materials, installation guides, configuration management concepts, proposals, and reports in accordance with DoD technical documentation guidelines and standards.
    • Utilizing combatant combat system software and hardware management and employment.
    • Learning DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to systems engineering processes as well as test and evaluation of Navy combat systems.
    • Learning Mission Based Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and U.S. Navy Combat Systems and Naval Operations.
    Education and Experience Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (this could include, but is not limited to): computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering OR at least four years of relevant US Navy combat systems or engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
    Security Clearance:
    • Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one.
