How you'll make an impact in this role

• Set the stage for clinical success by preparing specialized surgical suites with the exact sterile instruments and resources required for complex cardiovascular and neurological procedures.

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs by delivering required instruments with expert timing, allowing the surgical team to maintain a seamless flow during critical operations.

• Champion patient safety by expertly assisting with transport, positioning, and draping to ensure optimal surgical access while maximizing patient comfort and protection.

• Uphold surgical integrity by meticulously organizing and tracking instrument counts throughout every procedure to ensure 100% accuracy and prevent post-operative complications.

• Support life-saving outcomes by assisting the surgeon in achieving hemostasis, playing a direct role in maintaining patient stability during delicate interventions.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 1+ years of cardiovascular operating room experience.
