    Description

    We are hiring a Leave of Absence Specialist for the HR TEAM-

    What are my responsibilities?

    Responsible for ensuring compliance with all state/federal leave laws in coordination with related company leave policies. Advises employee and their manager on leave options, rights and responsibilities, benefits and compensation, and required communication while on leave. Follows administrative processes, procedures and provides client support/education to ensure adherence to established benefit plans, company policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws related to leaves.

    Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Document process and procedures

    Create and maintain solid operational processes and practices to ensure compliance and consistency in the execution and administration of leaves of absence.

    Recommend enhancements to HRMS Web Leave of Absence (LOA) module based on user feedback and changes to leave laws to keep Tenet compliant. Tests updates before they are moved to production.

    Provide LOA training for HR Staff.

    Manages employee situations pertaining to Leave of Absence administration which includes Short Term Disability, Federal and State Medical Leave, Unpaid LOA and Tenet leaves

    Communicates benefits and leave information to employees, including but not limited to communicating leave eligibility, informing employee of their leave rights under Tenet policy and applicable state and federal leave laws.

    Secures and analyzes information pertaining to employee's eligibility status, medical condition(s), occupational or employer requirements, and statutory regulations to accurately determine eligibility for leave.

    Develop appropriate Leave Management strategies to ensure prompt and accurate decisions.

    Responds to moderately complex inquiries from managers regarding LOA issues

    Monitors and tracks critical dates in the leave cycle and communicates with the employee and manager as appropriate.

    Demonstrates an in depth understanding of company HR policies and processes related to FMLA, Medical Non-FMLA, Military, and General LOAs.

    Provides input to HR Policies related to LOA administration.

    Develops leave related reports; monitors trends, provides insights and recommendations for action to HR/business leaders to improve employee experience while effectively managing costs.

    TOOLS YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS

    Prefer knowledge across multiple human resources disciplines including recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compensation/pay practices, and related state and federal employment laws and regulations

    Excellent analytical and research skills required.

    Ability to objectively coach employees and managers through complex and difficult issues.

    Exceptional technical expertise of HR systems including electronic personnel files and HR management systems. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    A positive, service-oriented attitude, willingness to go "above and beyond" in support of the internal clients and have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
