    United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring an Associate Director, Development to join our team. As Associate Director, Development you will develop and build relationships in the community to address the health and human service needs of the community through United Way Miami. Develop and maintain various fundraising initiatives to include corporate, employee, and individual fundraising.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manage the execution of the campaign process that consists of but is not limited to campaign strategizing, volunteer recruitment, training, and management; individual and group solicitation; individual and account cultivation, management and customer service; active promotion of corporate giving, individual giving, Leadership giving, planned giving, volunteerism, sponsorship solicitation, and labor participation.
    • Manage the development and execution of workplace program initiatives that consist of but are not limited to workplace social service delivery, information and referral, and volunteer development.
    • Ensure the preparation of team reports that include but are not limited to team summaries, all facets of goal setting, account planning, and expectancy tracking.
    • Manage loaned executives assigned to the campaign team.
    • Responsible for the supervision of subordinate employees which includes training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining and directing tasks. Has authority to hire, transfer, promote, compensate, or terminate subordinate employees or recommend such actions.
    • Identify prospects, engage them in the work of United Way and secure appropriate revenues through cross-selling opportunities. Serves as a pipeline for overall fundraising efforts.
    Requirements

    Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    Experience Requirements: Three to five years of experience in sales presentation skills, account management, fundraising, and volunteer management.

    Technology Requirements: Intermediate Word. Beginner Internet Explorer, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Andar;

    Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Public speaking, understanding of people, ability to adapt to changing situations, ability to understand and analyze industry trends, sales ability, computer skills, basic math skills, and negotiation skills. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
